As with all Elite projects Paul met with Julie and Andrew to discuss their requirements in terms of layout, appliance's, finishes etc, to enable a design proposal to be presented for further discussion.

Based on their brief Paul provided two design visuals, one based on the existing kitchen footprint, and a second, suggested by Paul which required removal of a wall but would provide a much more innovative design.

After considering the two design proposals, Julie and Andrew opted for the more comprehensive second design proposal which involved the removal of the wall.

The next key stage was the selection of the finishes, door worktops, and advice on appliances, floor covering and lighting. Julie and Andrew chose Black Mirror Quarts worktops and Chonmel Oak kitchen units. Careful selection of the appliances is a very important part of any kitchen design, being a Neff master partner Paul was able to explain in detail the advantages and disadvantages of many of the different types of oven and hobs that are now available to consumers.

With the finishes, appliances and selected lighting positions agreed, Paul was then able to program all the building work, plastering, flooring and electrical prior to fitting of the kitchen and the decoration. The program was discussed and agreed with Andrew and Julie and work commenced 27th January, the kitchen being signed off 6th February 2014 a total of two weeks.
